This scientific interest has enabled these research teams to develop an original and innovative concept involving the intelligent and selective integration of active molecules inside microalgae.
This new enrichment and induction process makes these phenotyped microalgae a natural reservoir of highly digestible and bioavailable micronutrients.
The iron from enriched spirulina is presented in organic form. It is therefore highly bioavailable and better assimilated by the body. It is twice as well absorbed by the body as the iron found in most meats and other plant foods. It is 60% better absorbed than iron sulfate.
It is well tolerated by the digestive system, and its high tissue iron retention has a very positive impact on hemoglobin levels.
This iron source is 100% organic. It does not come from added iron salts, which can sometimes induce undesirable oxidative or side effects such as stomach pains, constipation and diarrhoea.
